The Loss of Motherhood
Article II
d. Imposing Measures intended to prevent birth within a group
The forced sterilization of women has occurred since the start of the 20th century in many nations throughout the eastern and western hemisphere including the United States, African Colonies, and in many European nations (including Slovakia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Sweden). Each of these nations has partaken in this unjust and inhumane act for different reasons.
The United States has had several cases of forced and coerced sterilization of underrepresented and colored womxn over the past several decades. The forced sterilization of these groups is genocide! The conservative-leaning white community has targeted these individuals with the desire of creating a homogeneous white republic.
"This country has a long history of coercive sterilization, including the targeting of Latinas, Black women, and women in detention, which extends into the current era." (Reinsberg, 2020 )
